What x-rays do you need before jaw reduction surgery?

I am a 23 year old male and I will have a jaw reduction surgery. What x-rays do you need before jaw reduction surgery?

Typically a cone-beam CT scan is indicated.
A lateral cephalometric film and a panoramic film are the minimum.

At the very least, you will need a cephalometric X-ray as well as a panoramic X-ray. Most surgeons will also want a 3-D CT scan.

Usually we perform a cone beam CT scan of the entire lower and upper jaw prior to jaw reduction surgery to assess the bony anatomy and adjacent structures.
