Hi, it really depends on the extent and invasiveness of the surgery. Pain usually improves daily. If pain or swelling gets worse, call your provider for a followup sooner than later.
It varies from patients to patients. I see some of my patients took them 2-3 days, others it can last a week, depends on the pain tolerance threshold. It’s very important that you follow the instructions from the surgeon.
The body can take up to 6 months to heal. Make sure Vitamin D/B12 levels are above 50th percentile and hemoglobin is above 13 for women and 14 for men.
