I will have groin lipoma surgery. How long is recovery after lipoma surgery?

Lipoma surgery recovery is typically straight forward and many patients are able to return to normal activities the following day. If your lipoma is very large your surgeon may leave a drain behind in which case recovery may be slightly longer.
This can vary greatly. If the lipoma is just under the skin you will have minimal discomfort and be back to normal quickly but will need to follow your doctors instructions regarding activity. If the mass is deep in the tissue or in the muscle or associated with a hernia then you will have more pain and probably longer restrictions for activity.
Up to 6 months.
