I will have a C-section delivery. Is general anesthesia safe for a C-section?

If it is necessary, general anesthesia is safe during a c/section. However, it is considered safer for you to have either an epidural or spinal. The reason for this is that pregnant women don't empty their stomach as easily and they are at higher risk of aspirating fluid into the lungs with general anesthesia
