What should a diabetic's sugar level be after eating?

Thank you for your question. A diabetic's sugar level should be less than 100 mg/dL after fasting for at least 8 hours. It should be less than 140 mg/dL 2 hours after eating.

If you are diabetic, your doctor will advise that fasting blood sugar should be below 126, and after 2 hrs of your largest meal, below 200. If we want to be more restrictive, below 150 for younger ages.

COULD GO UP TO 200'S BUT TO BE SURE SUGAR LEVELS SHOULD BE CHECKED WHILE FASTING FROM 10-12 HRS
