Gastroenterologist Questions Gastroenterologist

Why am I feeling sick?

I have been having abdominal pain and feeling of sickness for about 6 months now. I have gone through many types of research such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and ultrasound as well as blood, urine, and discharge check. All of the above aside from the ultrasound showed no abnormalities but the ultrasound showed that there's a cyst on my right ovary. The doctor said that the cyst shouldn't be the cause of feeling sick and abdominal pain especially because it appears mostly on the epigastric region so now I'm seeking another opinion as to what may be the cause of that.

Maybe you need further testing: The list of causes of nausea is long: let me mention some common things like GERD, gallbladder disease, gastroparesis, glaucoma, motion sickness to name a few. Please find a gastroenterologist to do further workup.
The doctor who did your gastroscopy I assume was a pediatric gastroenterologist? If so, that is the person who should be explaining to you what the pain is from. You need to insist that a diagnosis be made if none has been provided to you. Many diagnoses are made based on your symptoms alone and not on testing. Since the tests done so far do not provide an answer then your doctor should seek diagnoses that are not made by doing a gastroscopy. There are many but the most common in your age group would be dyspepsia.
