Can you live with gallbladder cancer?

I am a 34 year old male and I have gallbladder cancer. Can you live with gallbladder cancer?

If the cancer has spread to the surrounding tissue or organs and regional lymph nodes, the 5-year relative survival rate is 28%. If the cancer has spread to distant parts of the body the survival rate is 2%. Thank you.
Very good question. It all depends on when was it discovered. There is something called T classification which show how deep the cancer got into the gallbladder wall or perhaps invades the liver or adjacent organs.
Yes if the cancer is discovered and surgically treated in its early stages.
Yes, you certainly can live with gallbladder cancer, especially if it is a very early stage disease. It is very unusual to have gallbladder cancer at the age of 34. It happens, but very uncommon. You may want to have your pathology diagnosis verified before anything else. You should obtain your pathology's glass slides and blocks from where your diagnosis was made.

So sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, this cancer is usually caught late. If early, removal of the gallbladder may suffice for treatment. You need to ask your oncologist about treatment options and life expectancy.
