“Do I need to go back to dentist after wisdom tooth removal?”
I'm 23 years old and I just had my wisdom teeth removed. I'm recovering at home and took the day off from work to recover tomorrow (I had 3 removed). Do I need to go back to the dentist for a follow-up?

Yes, they should typically take a look about a week after the surgery to ensure there are no complications. This should be a very quick visit.
Yes. I typically advise a return visit to allow evaluation of healing. Some complications can be prevented by close monitoring by your surgeon.
In my practice, I always want to see the patient back in one week for follow up to make sure everything is OK in term of taking medications as well as maintaining good oral hygiene post op, unless there is any complication then I will see them sooner. This is just my way of patient management, however, each office has different protocol, you need to find out from the office that you had surgery. Good luck in recovery.
