How bad does pneumonia have to be to be hospitalized?

I am a 20 year old male. I think I have pneumonia relating to covid-19. How bad does pneumonia have to be to be hospitalized?

If you are short of breath and your oxygen levels are depressed and your white blood cell count is markedly elevated, you may need to be hospitalized. The total clinical picture and evaluation by a physician is required to determine how sick you are and whether hospitalization, observation, or outpatient management is appropriate.
