My toddler son has sinusitis. How do you treat sinusitis in toddlers?

Hi, sinusitis is an infection and should be treated with antibiotics and saline rinses of nasal cavity.
With antibiotics.
Hi there,

Toddlers don’t usually develop sinusitis as their sinuses are underdeveloped till they are around 6-8 years of age. So therefore it depends on their symptoms and age. Some of the smaller sinus congestion may present as a unilateral swelling to the eye.and usually accompanied with fevers. If the toddler is chronically congestion then it’s probably more allergies than an infection.
Hope this helps. Thank you for your question.

Thank you for your question. Treatment depends on duration of symptoms. Cold symptoms lasting more than 10 days with 3 or more consecutive days of green/yellow nasal drainage and fever warrants treatment with oral antibiotics. Nasal decongestant spray and/or saline drops for the nose can also be helpful.
With antibiotics. Thank you.
