Hello, depends on which you are referring to. The most effective one is one’s own fat. It can last forever! You can visit my website at DrRoya.com for further information.
If you mean lip fillers, the answer is that it depends on what filler is used. The most common filler is a type of hyaluronic acid that generally lasts approximately one year in the lip.
It depends on how you are treated. If is your lateral hips fat grafting is commonly done. Reshaping adipose distribution is body contouring and I would only go to a plastic surgeon who has the artistry to give you the body shape you want. This is permanent except for normal aging. I have seen patients 20 years later and they still look great. Unfortunately, i have treated many "botched jobs". This is artistry and not all plastic surgeons have the same skills like artists. You want a Rembrandt not a Picasso.
Fillers last 1 year to more than 10. Fat is permanent.
Lip fillers last 9-12 months in most.
I'm not sure what you mean by "hip filler." I assume that you mean "lip filler," since that is a very common treatment. Lip fillers give benefit in a couple of ways. First, they give immediate volume enhancement to the lips that lasts about 6 months. But each time you get a treatment, the body heals itself by adding some of your own natural collagen to the area. That collagen lasts longer than the filler itself, so after a few treatments, the volume should hold up longer and longer.
I hope that helps.
For any fat transfer, it will be about 6 weeks before you can begin to judge success. Whatever result you have at 3 months should be permanent from that point on.
