If you have pain with dentures you get them adjusted. Frequently many adjustments are necessary to get them comfortable.
Only a few days to a week if they've been recently and properly adjusted. If it persists longer than that, get help, something needs to be fixed.

Until you complete the adjustments to gain you comfort. See your dentist
It should not be painful. See your dentist for an adjustment.
Denture pain should not last that long if the dentures are well fitted and well adjusted. If these are your first set, denture pain may be there for a week or so as you are getting used to them. If pain persists past a week, you should see your dentist to check fit and adjust if necessary or possible. If there is very little ridge to accommodate those dentures, new denture fabrication may be necessary or implants may be recommended.
Are these your first dentures? If you just had extractions, some discomfort is common for a week or two. If you did not just have teeth extracted, there should NOT be pain. Adjustments are often needed.
Are the dentures new? Then it takes some time to get used to the new dentures, but it should not cause any sore spots. You have to get them adjusted by the dentist.
Should only have intermittent discomfort at the most.

Your dentures should not cause pain. An evaluation of the fit of the dentures should be considered
You should take them to your local dentist or the dentist that made them and have them adjusted. They should not be causing pain
