Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Ear pain

My husband is unable to hear properly. Could it be due to wax accumulation?

My husband is complaining of slight ear pain and low hearing. Could it be due to the amount of ear wax in his ear or something serious?

Could be any number of things, including an ear wax impaction.
Of course that is a possibility. But there are many other possible causes as well. He needs to see an ENT doctor and have his hearing tested.
It is possible that a wax impaction could cause the symptomatology that you are describing. However, it definitely warrants an examination by somebody familiar with looking into patient's ears. Additionally, it is likely warranted to have a hearing test known as an audiogram performed at that visit as well after ruling out other pathologies.
