Thyroid meds can help contribute to dry mouth syndrome. Sugarless sucking candies will help encourage saliva flow. Products like Biotene rinse and toothpaste will also help.

The pulp of a tooth may deteriorate (die) quickly and painfully (the need for treatment is obvious) or slowly and silently (the need for treatment is NOT obvious). X-rays reveal a silent infection that calls for the tooth to receive root canal treatment.
