Scoliosis is typically taken care of by an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spinal problems. I have no experience in making these decisions. Maybe there is such a specialist you could address this to.

Nerves in the skin carry information to the brain about sensations: cold, warmth, injury, and light touch. If these nerves are cut, then the brain can’t perceive any of those feelings. We typically describe the absence of sensations as being “numb.” Likewise, the deeper nerves make muscles work. If they are injured, then the muscle they supply are weak, in an incomplete injury, or if the nerves are completely severed, then the muscles are paralyzed. So, if you have a nerve injury, the skin is numb, and the muscles are weak or paralyzed.

Migraine headaches are most often treated by family doctors. If they don’t come under control or they have associated neurological symptoms, the patients are preferred to a Neurologist. Dizziness and, more specifically, vertigo, is one neurological symptom that can be part of migraine. So, yes, vestibular migraine is a neurological problem.

Typically, motion sickness is treated with an over-the-counter medication, usually Dramamine. Neurology and Ear Nose and Throat doctors might be consulted, but most of the time that’s not necessary.

A Neurologist would be able to confirm the diagnosis through testing and then outline a plan for non surgical treatment, if it is confirmed that that was an option. These plans might include medication, physical therapy, injections, traction, or a referral for chiropractic care. The Neurologist would also make sure that if surgery is indicated, that the procedure is done as soon as possible and by the surgeon who provides the best care.
