Dr. Sabrina M-Y Rene, MD, FACE is a board-certified endocrinologist who treats patients at Piedmont Physicians Endocrinology located in Newnan, Georgia.
Dr. René completed her medical education at Howard University, graduating from medical school in 1995. She then pursued her residency at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Jacksonville, finishing in 1998, followed by a fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine, which she completed in 2000. Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. René has delivered numerous presentations across Georgia and Florida on managing thyroid disease, diabetes mellitus, and insulin resistance. In 2017, she was recognized as one of the "Top Doctors of America" in endocrinology. From 2013 to 2018, Dr. René was the only endocrinologist affiliated with the Cancer Treatment Centers of America Southeastern Division.
Dr. René is married and resides in Newnan. She enjoys traveling, music, arts, and practicing yoga. She has also sung in her church choir and is actively involved in promoting wellness throughout her community. Dr. René volunteers quarterly at the Coweta Samaritan Clinic and is a member of several professional organizations, including The American Diabetes Association, The Endocrine Society, The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, The National Medical Association, and The Atlanta Women’s Medical Alliance.
