As parents, we try to give our children what they need to express their best health. For Joe and Christina, patients of mine, that meant giving Ava, their 4 month old baby, an enema in order for Ava to have a bowel movement. Since she was born Ava would go three days without defecating. Fortunately, her parents brought Ava on their visit to our chiropractic office. History revealed a birth delivery similar to most vaginal, “natural childbirth”. That meant mom, Christina, on her back trying to push a baby out UPHILL!
Ava, as do many newborns, experienced birth trauma to her nerve system caused by a misalignment in her upper neck. Like colic babies whose digestive systems get shut down her nerve system needed a fine-tuning through a specific spinal adjustment. Ava had a bowel movement for the first time without an enema the evening of her adjustment and now goes once to twice per day (NO ENEMA NEEDED-just a nerve system functioning without interference!!!)
