If the dentures have been just delivered as a new treatment, there will be a period of the oral soft tissues adjustment to the foreign body of the denture. Patience, perseverance and trips to the dental office for removing the uncomfortable spots on the denture's body are necessary. Sometimes it can be a symptom of a compromised overall health of the body or reaction to some drugs. Proper diagnosis is a must. How long it will last depends on the cause, severity and the adequate treatment.

In general after 24 hours use of soft brush and rinses with 1:1 dilution of 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide are recommended in my office ( Mix 1 spoon of 3% food grade HP with 1 spoon distill water to rinse)
