In most hospitals, surgery on the hand and wrist is usually performed using regional anesthesia and intravenous sedation, or general anesthesia. Patients must undergo preoperative tests, fast starting the night before, and spend an hour or more in a recovery room.

Physical and occupational therapy will help the brain remember how the arm moves and functions. Also at home, you can use your healthy Arm Assistance (hand-over-hand) doing easy exercises. The hardest part for the patient to return to work after injury is when your company medical examiner disagrees with your treating physician’s medical opinion on how and when to return safely to work. That of course has to do with your work compensation claims. It is hard to resolve a dispute when it is about your body's needs and your company policy or demands. So, because you don’t want to lose your benefits, you must return to work. No one likes to be pushed for limited benefits, or to deny their claim entirely.

Your company medical examiner should follow the state occupational medicine protocol to permit your being back to work. Of course, you’d give him all the medical history including the bleeding event.

It looks like a personal injury case more than a workers compensation case because of the nature of the injury ( shipment mistake)... in that case in addition to your company ‘s doctor who is evaluating the degree of your physical injury claim, you could also ask a lawyer to sue the employer’s negligence that caused the mistaken injury. The PME result is the primary preventive measure that is essential for assessing any work-related problems. Then, we can compare each individual's PME results with their initial Preplacement Eximantion (PPE) and baseline results. Finally, help your employees to take responsibility for their work, build their self-confidence, and enable them to create a stress-free environment to accomplish their goals.
