Acupressure is an effective supportive treatment for fertility. It is non-invasive and helps to restore your body’s energy flow, and improve blood and lymph flow.

It improves the elimination of toxins and the transport of nutrients to organs and tissue. It assists with reduction of inflammation, supporting the body’s unique healing system.

Face

These acupuncture points for fertility are located on the upper most region of the body and it starts from the head and moves down gradually.

Epang II: This point is located on two sides of the scalp just above the hair line on the outer side of the eye brows. Stimulating these two points helps in treating problems of PMS, relieving painful menstruation and helps in regularizing the menstrual cycle

Yintang: This acupressure point is located on the forehead just between the two eyebrows. Stimulating this point with the fingers helps in improving the functions of the pituitary gland that regulates the release of female sex hormones. In addition, this acupressure point also helps in relieving migraines and anxiety related headaches.

Acupressure Points on Mid-Section of the Body

The following set of acupuncture points are located in the mid-section of the body and are directly related to fertility. Periodic stimulation of these points can help in improving libido and hormonal balance.

Lv 14: This set of acupressure points is located just below the two breasts, two ribs below the nipple. Stimulating this point helps in correcting hormonal imbalance and breast tenderness related to PMS, improving sex drive and libido. In addition, it is also useful for relieving digestive disorders and boosting liver functions.

Ren 14: This acupressure point is located precisely half way between the sternum and the belly button, just 4 inches above the belly button. Stimulation of this point helps in reducing fluid build-up in fallopian tubes and uterus and improves secretion of cervical mucus. In addition, it also helps in treating heart diseases, relieving asthma and transforming phlegm.

Ki 16: This is one of the most important acupuncture points for fertility. This reflexology point is located at a distance of one inch on both sides of the belly button. Stimulating this point is believed to improve general fertility health and boost the chances of conception in women. It also helps in correcting autoimmune related infertility issues caused by troubled immunological response.

Ren 6: This acupressure point for fertility is located directly below the belly button, at a gap of 1 and a half inches from the navel. Stimulation of this point helps in boosting libido and improving energy of the body and it also helps in relieving stress, exhaustion, tiredness and chronic fatigue.

Ren 4: This Acupressure point is located 2 inches below the belly button, midline on the conception meridian. Stimulation of this point improves the health of the uterus by increasing blood circulation, preparing it for implantation. In addition, it also helps in improving the functions of the kidney that helps in complete detoxification of the body.

Acupressure Points on Back of the Body

The next set of acupressure points for fertility treatment is located at the back of the body. The main functions of these points is promoting deep relaxation and relieving stress that affect the menstrual cycle.

UB 44: This reflexology point is located on both sides of the 5th thoracic vertebra. Stimulating this set of points helps in relieving stress, anxiety, stimulating uterine contractions in order to strengthen the uterus and relieve abdominal pain during menstruation. In addition, it also helps in promoting sleep and treating insomnia.

UB 15: This set of acupressure points is located 1.5 inches from the spine, right on the 5th thoracic vertebra, on both the right and left side of the body, close to point UB 44. Stimulating this point helps in amending hormonal imbalance and correcting irregular menstrual cycle. In addition, it can also help in improving sleep, and relieving anxiety and mood swings.

UB 23: This point is useful for treating infertility related problems of both women and men. Located at the back, exactly opposite to the navel, at the level of the 2nd thoracic vertebra, this set of points on both sides of the spine help in relieving menstrual cramps and controlling abnormal vaginal discharge. If stimulated in men, this point helps in treating impotence.

DU 4: This point is located at the middle of the two UB 23 points and is known as the “Life Gate”. Located just on the midline, on the spine at the 2nd thoracic lumbar vertebra, it helps in improving overall health of the uterus, thereby supporting fertility. Stimulation of this point also helps in supplying energy to the reproductive organs and relieving knee pains.
