The survival of the fittest is a Darwin/Wallace principle that has been engaged for over one hundred years. It has enveloped climate change, evolution, and natural selection. The contributions of the creations themselves, until Homo is neglected. Millions of years are required with this framework for species change.
Viruses and bacteria have the advantages of speed of duplication and the ability to multiply in seemingly unsuitable places (hot fissures and oceanic depths). The parent viruses of the SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19 appear to link with influenza and to benefit from human adaptation as rapid response indecision. The human response can be mandated by the social system. Most Americans would prefer the decision-making to be between patients and their doctors.
Recently, the USPS has been authorized to ship 4 packets of the most recent COVID tests to each household address. We are advised to ignore the expiration notice. For the elderly accustomed to more individualism, it may be intrusive but since the repeal of Roe v. Wade, we are clearly in a different world where anxiety joins viruses and bacteria in the precipitation of response.
