The Trumpeter aka POTUS aka Master Of Malice (MOM) after deciding to shut down the Coronavirus Task Force, which was functioning as a press conference gone sour, changed his mind after hearing that it was popular. There appears to be no residual awareness that the task force was an information source for Americans about Covid-19. This confusion was the result of the informational taskforce having been converted into a poorly and vindictively run press conference, Fauci and Birx were repeatedly silenced or overridden. Birx mercilessly compromising her opinions to cull favor with Trump. Fauci, more honest but clearly risking being fired. He is now forbidden to testify before the House of Representatives and people are being fired throughout the government.
Over 1.2 million identified cases exist in the world, roughly 1/3 are from the U.S. The U.S has roughly 1/4 to 1/3 of the deaths. We are being pushed to reopen the country as are countries all over the world, 1918 tells us that relaxation of social distancing lets epidemic viral illness soar. We can expect the same. The virus appears to have been active at least two years before being identified and having originated in Europe rather than China. Tying the knowable facts to campaign politics, faux nationalism, general ignorance, etc, is stimulating racism, sexism, ageism, xenophobia, and crippling fear.
In the meantime, with almost sentient prescience, Covid-19 culls the human herd soon to be assisted by a coinfection agent. Apropos of the almost sentient malignant prescience, the very young are also under assault. An entity called multisystem inflammatory syndrome has been identified first in England but now recognized in Canada and the USA where SARS-Cov2 has attacked multiple systems in children with potentially deadly outcomes.
