Porcelain Veneers
Sometimes, we don’t have to actually fix cosmetic problems. If there isn’t anything wrong with the function of the tooth itself, we can simply cover up the imperfections. Porcelain veneers are thin layers of porcelain that we affix to the front of imperfect teeth to improve their size, shape, and overall appearance. Porcelain closely resembles tooth enamel, but it is highly resistant to stains, so your new smile stays dazzlingly white for years to come.
Metal-Free Restorations
Patients who have sensitivities to metal or who need a natural-looking solution for teeth in the front of the smile appreciate metal-free restorations. Porcelain crowns and inlays/onlays repair broken or decayed teeth without taking away from the beautiful appearance of your natural tooth enamel.
Metal-free restorations are made out of 100% porcelain, ceramic, or sometimes zirconia. They are sturdy and can resist the normal force of day-to-day pressure (i.e. chewing or occasional jaw clenching).
Placing a metal-free restoration is completed over two visits to the dentist. In the first, any decay is removed and the tooth is prepared for its restoration. Impressions and x-rays are taken, and the treatment plan is sent to the lab. You return for its final placement after one to two weeks
Direct Bonding
If minor improvements are detracting from your smile in a big way, your dentist may recommend direct bonding. It’s a method in which your dentist uses composite resin to rebuild the missing tooth structure. The resin is custom shaded to match the color of your surrounding teeth, so it blends flawlessly with your smile. Direct bonding is usually completed in just one visit to the dentist
Teeth Whitening (In Practice)
Kor Opalescence teeth whitening brightens your smile by up to eight shades over the course of just one visit to our office. This method offers superior results, faster — and far better — than whitestrips or other over-the-counter whitening options. Kor Opalescence is continuously refrigerated so it doesn’t lose any potency, and it is specially formulated and delivered to ensure the bleach provides the brightest whitening possible. The Kor system’s special formulation also reduces tooth sensitivity!
