Does Lupus Mean a Lifetime of Poor Sleep?

Exercise the body, relax the brain

Studies have shown that working out during the day can have a positive impact on sleep at night. Exercise is not only good for the body, but it also is a great way to relax the mind.  If the idea of exercising is not all that appealing, especially if chronic pain is a factor, remember that there are some gentler ways to get physical activity like doing yoga.

So whether it's taking a long walk, swimming laps or doing the downward dog, a little exercise for a minimum of 20 minutes a day can help with getting a good night's sleep. Bonus points for those who choose to exercise outside, fresh air is a great way to get better sleep.
