Ankle injury?

Almost a year ago I twisted my ankle and broken some bones in it. I was in a boot and then cast for about two months. Sometimes I still feel a sharp pain when I walk or swim. My husband and I are planning to go to a theme park and were wondering if it'd be a good idea to ride on roller coasters and water rides. I know its a silly question but I was wondering if that could affect anything.

roller coaster and water rides typically is ok. I do encourage you to go back to the doctor that treated you broken ankle and find the root cause of your symptoms currently. pain is not normal, pain is a result of something wrong internally.
Your condition can be fixed by prolozone therapy.

You are fine to ride roller coasters and to go on water rides. I would suggest you wear an ankle brace to give extra support and control of your ankle as much as you can for the longer periods of activity you will have on your trip. Have fun.
Unless there is a new injury, it is unlikely that you will cause more problems with your ankle. You will likely have arthritis if not already from the initial injury. If pain worsens, I recommend you be evaluated by a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist)
Your ankle needs to be reevaluated with X-rays to be sure that the bones and joint healed correctly. Any non-weight bearing activities (i.e., roller coasters and water rides) should not be a problem. Given your history, that joint needs to be reevaluated as soon as possible by a Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon.
Have it x-rayed to assess healing first.
The G forces could aggravate your pain.

Hello,

You should be fine riding roller coasters and water rides. The amount of walking will be the bigger issue. It could cause the ankle pain to flare.

Good luck and enjoy!
You probably will be safe. Sometimes scar tissue around the ligaments takes a long time to resolve. If pain is not continuous, you should be fine.
