“Blood in stool”

So about a week or two ago I noticed some blood in my stool there’s not a lot it was bright red and it was covering kind of on the outside of the store and there really wasn’t that much. There was a little bit when I arrived and it was kind of on and off for a few days bleeding whatever I would use the bathroom and then I didn’t notice it for a long time and then the other day I went to the bathroom again and it did hurt a little bit but there’s no pain like outside of using the bathroom and it’s kind of been bleeding on and off again ever since then, I am also on birth control I’m not sure if that affects anything
