Boyfriend says can't use a condom cause of medication?

So I just started to see this guy and we were talking about when we're ready to have sex, and he told me that because of some medication he is on, he's not able to wear a condom. I haven't asked him yet what happens if he does wear one, what his medication does with that. This makes me a bit hesitant and uncertain about whether I'll feel comfortable sleeping with him. I was planning on getting on some birth control no matter what, but was wondering if this was a thing, can medications actually cause something when using a condom on men, and what are some recommendations moving forward to suggest to help prevent pregnancy and diseases?

Thank you for the question.

There are very few medications if any that interact with condoms. Kindly let him tell you what medication he is on and relay the information to your physician to establish if any such interaction exist. My advice to you is to get on an effective birth control method before any sexual encounter to prevent any unplanned pregnancy.
