Can ADHD be corrected?

My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD. Can ADHD be corrected?

ADHD is a neurodevelopment disorder, meaning people are born with their brains functioning this way. It cannot be corrected but it can be managed to help her function better. There are books available for parents to help their kids with ADHD function better.
Yes ADHD can be corrected. You didn’t say how old your daughter is but ADHD is a seen frequently in children and adolescents. Medications work but so can therapy. Find a therapist trained to treat this disorder. The therapy can be particularly effective in bright young people. There are many, many medications with FDA approval for ADHD. These include stimulants, anti-depressants, and other medications with more atypical mechanisms of action. Good luck!
