It depends! The severity of the scoliosis, whether it's acquired or congenital (whether it happened through life events, or if you were anatomically born with it), and whether it is stable or unstable all play a role in whether or not it can be changed, and to what degree. A huge one is also how diligent and consistent you are with recommendations between visits greatly influences degree of success. Some stats that may help you is: in the medical world, mild (10-25 degrees), moderate (25-40 degrees), and severe (40+ degrees) are measured as follows and you would want to take annual full spine x rays to monitor changes. Also, research finds that if you have altered normal curves and choose to do nothing about it, you will on average lose 1-2 degrees of curvature per year (so the likelihood that it will get better on its own is, well, not.) All that said, when I work with scoliosis patients, my primary goal is to restore function (reduce any symptoms and limitation to normal daily activities), and slow to stop the progression. So that if every year we take an x ray and it doesn't change, then it's actually a good sign, because we prevented the 1-2 degree of loss that would typically occur). In my office, we do have tools to help with mild to moderate scoliosis from Chiropractic Biophysics. For moderate to severe, I would recommend looking into Scolibrace. Lastly, you can live a totally normal and vibrant life with scoliosis! It takes a little bit of effort and consistent care, but it doesn't have to impact any function for you to live a happy and healthy life
Yes. Find the local Scoliosmart clinic system near you.
Possibly it depends on the scoliosis. ~Dr. Ide PainlessDC.com
depending on your age and the severity of you problems, x-rays are warranted

Once past about twelve, there is no straightening a scoliosis; careful chiropractic care can help your spine work better. Spinal surgery often has disappointing outcomes.
Depends on the age and severity of the curve. If over 16 in females and 17 in males it is unlikely you will make significant changes to the curvature.

Physical therapy, and osteopathic manipulation can significantly help.
Smaller curves often respond to exercise and bracing.
