What is causing my knee pain?

Over the last 5 days, my inner knee on the right leg had been painful when I use my wheelchair or when sitting then crossing my leg or ride from a sitting position. It actually is not as bad while I walk but I am disabled and do not walk much. What could this be? I did fall about a month ago but it never bothered me til now.

Common causes of acute knee pain are meniscal tears, cartilage tears, acute inflammation like synovitis, flare up from rheumatoid arthritis. Chronic long standing pain could be from osteoarthritis or degenerative condition. You need to get it checked out by your orthopedist.
Thanks.
Hopefully, you just irritated that side of your knee; meniscus tear is also a possibility. Careful weight bearing and ice applications should help. I would suggest giving it another 10 days or so. If it remains painful, a visit to an orthopedist could give your more info with X-rays, etc.

Good luck,

Pain along the medial aspect of the knee could be some early arthritis with perhaps a bone spur. I doubt that the fall was the cause of this as if you had broken something it would’ve been extremely painful at the time not a month later. There’s a possibility that you could have a bursitis along the medial aspect of the knee. I would recommend intermittent application of ice to the area along with perhaps some
Can be a fracture, blood clot, Bruising of the soft tissue. You need to see your PCP or an ortho surgeon
