Can a broken big toe cause bunions?

I am a 38 year old female. I want to know if a broken big toe cause bunions?

A broken toe is rarely the cause of a bunion, but it's possible. I've never seen it. Most of the time, bunions are caused by high heel shoes with pointy toes. Over time, they deform the big toe joint and cause a bunion.

Hope it helps!!

Hello. Yes depending on the location and type of fracture a bunion can develop. However most bunions occur for other reasons. Good luck.
This should not happen unless the fracture was not properly aligned.
