I would probably start with orthopedic doctor then orthodontist.
Then once you got in place go see a chiropractor for alignment.
For a dislocated jaw, this requires medical intervention. If it were just subluxated I would say yes. Be well.
We have many times corrected subtle misalignments of the jaw, which frequently arise in car crashes. If by "dislocated" you mean a severe disturbance with rupture of one or more of the stabilizing ligaments, surgical management may be necessary.
I would not say it would be appropriate for a chiropractor to fix a dislocated jaw, no.
Absolutely
A lot depends upon a definition in your question -- dislocated -- Yes, some Chiropractors will work with jaw problems. The best process is to find a Chiropractor who does this procedure and then make an appointment for an evaluation.
Your friend should go to the emergency room to have the jaw properly set and to make sure there are no fractures.
Absolutely! I actually just worked with 3 patients this week with a misaligned jaw.
A dislocated jaw is a dental problem. A chiropractor should be utilized to
ensure the neck and cranial bones are in alignment after a jaw dislocation injury.
