For kidney problems acupuncture with herbs, and sometimes massage, can help gradually. I suggest you try it.
In what way? Do you have chronic kidney disease? Or kidney stones or kidney infection? Whatever the specific issue is please talk it over with an acupuncturist, and if you can find someone who specializes in kidneys even better. Many acupuncturists do specialize in kidney disease or other internal organ issues.

This question is just too vague.
Acupuncture does help kidney problems, but again there are 4 differentiations in kidney problems. You can also ask your acupuncturist. If you shall have any questions please feel free to contact me at (562) 698-3008.
Yes, acupuncture can benefit the kidneys immensely, and additionally the Prescription Herbal Formula that your Chinese Medicine Doctor can tailor specifically for you can be even more beneficial for the patient, as the patient can take the formula each day. Many times patients can only afford to come in 1 to 2 times a week for acupuncture, but they can take their Herbal Formula 3 times per day, hence getting a more regular therapeutic effect. In Asia, patients would come in 4 to 5 times per week for acupuncture, but in the US due to cost, lack of understanding of the patient, poor or inadequate insurance coverage, and work schedule interference with seeking appropriate regular care.
The acupuncture points have very specific biochemical effects on the organs or viscera like the Liver, Kidney, Heart, Lungs, Spleen, etc. I am available for video telemedicine appointments and I can complete a diagnosis for you based upon ALL your symptoms, and then send you Prescription Herbal Formula. Contact me either by text, email, or phone and I can schedule you on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I can also help you find a highly skilled Chinese Medicine Doctor in your area that can do the acupuncture treatments on you in conjunction with my Formulas. I have over 15 years of experience in Chinese Medicine. Be well.

Yes, Kidney malfunction is also suitable for acupuncture treatment. I see this type of patient at least monthly.
Yes, one of my teachers specializes in Kidney disorders and Acupuncture can be very helpful. In TCM the Kidneys relate to your foundational energy, so Kidney issues are very important to address and support.
Yes. Acupuncture can help support the health of the kidneys, and help treat conditions of the kidneys.
I won't claim that acupuncture can cure any specific kidney problem (though that is not out of the realm of possibility), but it can certainly help.
Just about any provider would need a lot more information before being able to supply a reasonable answer to this question. There are a variety of issues which may affect the kidney - some of them can be addressed with acupuncture, some of them are best addressed with a combination of acupuncture and conventional medicine, and some are best addressed with conventional medicine alone. Without knowing what's wrong, I can't tell you what bucket you fall into.
If we're talking about chronic kidney stones - acupuncture, diet modification, and herbal medicine can sometimes help a great deal.
If we're talking about low filtration rates (either eGFR out of rage or high serum creatinine), then sometimes a combination of Chinese and conventional medicine are the best bet.
If we're talking about something like adrenal fatigue, acupuncture and herbs can sometimes be as effective as conventional treatment.
If we're talking about polycystic kidney disease, acupuncture can sometimes help but, again, you'll want to combine conventional medication.
If we're talking about a decline in kidney function such that the patient is now on dialysis or there's cancer involved, we're now starting to move into an area where acupuncture and Chinese medicine are going to have declining benefit relative to conventional medicine.
