Can anesthesia affect your teeth?

I am a 29 year old male. My teeth feel sore after having dental anesthesia. Can anesthesia affect your teeth?

You had DENTAL anesthesia and your teeth are sore? Did you have DENTAL procedure that might explain the soreness? No, dental anesthesia does not make your teeth hurt unless you have an air filled cavity that nitrous oxide diffused into increasing the pressure. But that effect goes away in an hour or two.

If you had dental surgery under general anesthesia, then it is quite reasonable to expect to have gum or tooth pain near the site of surgery and your dentist should have explained that as a part of obtaining consent for surgery.
