“Can anesthesia cause kidney damage?”
I will have surgery under general anesthesia. I want to know if anesthesia can cause kidney damage?

If there is prolonged hypotension during Surgery and if Surgery lasts for more than 2-4 hrs.
Anesthesia can cause acute kidney injury only if it causes a drop in blood pressure. During surgery, if there is a drop in bp due to any cause, it can result in acute kidney injury.
