Short term, Medications can be very effective in helping manage anxiety. However, medicines do NOT teach your brain how to live your life and control your thoughts so you can manage your anxiety in the future. If you are suffering from anxirety, start with an expert in the behavioral management of anxiety, and then work with a psychiatrist to evaluate if medication is appropriate and use both modalities, demonstrated to be the most effective for moderate to severe symptoms.
Anxiety disorders can be treated, generally with psychotherapy and/or medication. It can never be "cured," as defined by it would without a doubt never emerge again.
Yes, absolutely. Anxiety us manageable. Its best yo practice breath techniques daily. Also take a couple of Long breaths as needed. Look into the IAM 20, or the White Flower meditation,or any meditative video on youtube, or the app Calm. Also find a counselor to tell what makes you anxious, to better understand it. All my clients have reduced anxiety ysing: Mindfulness meditation And Cognitive Behavioral therapy Sometimes vigorous exercise works, it depends. Breathing control is essential.
Anxiety can be managed with either psychotherapy, medication, or both. A little anxiety can be healthy and help us get things done but if it affects your functioning it should be treated.
