Hi,
Are you on medication?
Acupressure can support but not the treatment.
There are some acupressure points that can help assist with diabetes. Depending on the symptoms you wish to address, daily stimulation of the acupressure points may help address them; acupuncture would be easier. And there are also some aspects of controlling diabetes that are better addressed with herbal supplements: like fenugreek and okra for lowering blood sugars. Check with your primary care physician to see what you should improve on and what alternative medicines may be helpful. - Live Happy, Michael
No. Diabetes cannot be controlled by acupressure. Diabetes needs to be controlled by a very no nonsense highly healthy diet. Seek a doctor of Oriental medicine to assist you with Chinese herbal medicine and quality nutritional counseling.
No
I don't think so. Acupuncture combined with King herbs would be more effective in treating diabetes. I suggest you try it.
No
Typically diabetes need more than acupressure, like lifestyle change such as nutritional change and support, exercise and stress management. It is a complex condition so you may need help from an expert. If you think you're at that point, do not hesitate to reach out to your doctor and ask for help.
I encourage you to book a session with your practitioner of choice to get help with relief.
Yes, acupressure can controll diabetes, because acupressure can activating Qi and promoting blood circulation, dredging the meridians.
As in, can you eat all the sugar you want if we do regular acupressure? No to that. Not really sure how else to answer this.
Diabetes is best controlled with lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise and medication when necessary.
Acupressure can help in making the body more efficient in processing sugar. However, with diabetes, it is essential to include other methods of intervention such as dietary counseling, exercise, herbs, supplements, and medication.
Acupuncture can balance the body's systems, but I do not know of any acupuncture treatments that can control it alone. The same holds true for acupressure.
By acupressure? Probably not. By acupuncture? Also unlikely. I'm assuming we're talking about type II diabetes here (i.e. adult-onset driven largely by diet/lifestyle choices) rather than type I diabetes (i.e. juvenile-onset driven largely by genetic factors or early autoimmune disease and requiring insulin injection to manage). If this is the case, the single biggest factor to getting a handle on this disease and, potentially, reversing it is going to be your diet. Acupuncture would be secondary to that and, in my opinion, at least, acupressure is not even on the table.
