Gingivitis is caused by gum tissue inflammation. If the gum tissue is not inflamed anymore, the gingivitis will be gone also.
Gingivitis is inflammation of the gingival tissues, generally due to plaque biofilm accumulation. A good cleaning from your dental office, along with excellent brushing and flossing can resolve gingivitis.
I assume "go" means to go away, and the simple answer is no! Gingivitis is usually caused by local irritations such as accumulated bacteria and plaque. When the cause of gingivitis goes away the gingivitis will also go away. Gingivitis can progress to involve the underlying bone which resorbs and goes away and that is bad!
