Can having tinnitus affect your speech?

I am a 29 year old male who suffers from tinnitus. Can having tinnitus affect your speech?

If your tinnitus is severe enough to prohibit hearing certain sounds, it may be possible for speech to be affected. However, as an adult, you are not learning language and/or speech sounds as you would a baby or small child, so it should not impede the way you speak. Yes, it can. I would seek out an audiologist to address your tinnitus concerns and ask them if they would recommend a speech pathologist referral.
Not directly, no, but because it can be distracting, it may have an indirect effect on your perceived ability to monitor your speech.
