Can physical therapy help disc hernia?

I have a disc hernia. Can physical therapy help disc hernia?

Formal physical therapy as well as a regular home program can be beneficial for the disc herniation.
Yes! I don't know how long it has been since the herniation happened, but typically the earlier you get PT after a disc injury the better and quicker your recovery will be. PT will not "fix" the herniation (you can't put the jelly back inside of a jelly donut once you squeeze it out haha), but between the manual therapy techniques for spine mobility and pain control, education on prevention and positioning, core stabilization exercises, and nerve glides to help the spinal cord and nerves in the back to continue to stay flexible, PT is absolutely crucial in this case. I say find the PT in your area that is the BEST for back pain issues and go for it!
