Can surgery fix heel spur?

I have a heel spur. Can surgery fix heel spur?

1 Answer

Most heel spurs can be managed conservatively (80%), however, there are indications for surgical removal. Generally, if you have been treated for 6 months or more, and have exhausted conservative treatment, surgery can address heel spur pain. If the heel spur is not painful, surgery is not recommended.
