Can titanium implants cause autoimmune disease?

I am a 38 year old male. I wonder if titanium implants can cause autoimmune disease?

The exact cause of autoimmune disease is unknown. There are many theories as to how they are caused but none of them are proven. All I can tell you is that titanium works great in the body in general and that they most likely do not cause autoimmune disease.
