Can yoga make the bones weaker?

A recent article made me extremely worried. It said that twisting and turning of the body in yoga causes the bones to become weaker, and I go to a yoga class at least twice a week. Should I be concerned?

when practiced mindfully and with proper guidance, yoga is generally considered a safe and beneficial exercise for bone health. However, it's important to tailor your practice to your individual needs and consult with healthcare professionals if you have specific concerns.
No, typical yoga practice has no such effect on bone strength. What DOES impact your bone strength is your gut health. And that can be improved by the kind of internal attention to breath and body as you move through yoga routines. So, practice your deep belly breathing, explore your yoga movements that way, and stay healthy from the inside-out.

I have not heard of this. You might want to check with your yoga instructor.
No, unless what you're doing in yoga is causing you pain. If so, then you should stop
i have never come across a research paper that indicates that. Typically, exercises, loaded positions, actually improves bone strength. I would highly recommend to do more research. Eat well, exercise often, and you will be fine. Consult with you MD/PT
That's a myth. I have been practicing yoga for many years. It helps with flexibility and strength, which ultimately improve bone strength.
