Can you get breast augmentation under local anesthesia?

I want to get breast augmentation. Can you get breast augmentation under local anesthesia?

These are typically done under general anesthesia. Theoretically it could be done using a thoracic epidural, but this is variable and not worth the risk. If you’re healthy enough for breast augmentation you most likely will have no problems with a general anesthetic.

It would not be recommended as it can be a pretty painful procedure. There’s a lot of manipulation of the muscles under the breast tissue so it’s usually done under a general anesthesia.

It would be challenging and you would have to have a very high pain tolerance.
