Condom slipped during sex with an escort, what is the HIV risk?

I live in a high-income country in Europe. I visited an escort two weeks ago and during sex, the condom slipped. I think I realized it after 2-3 thrusts. She told me she is on PrEP and gets her tests every three months and that she is clean. This incident has been in the back of my mind for the past two weeks. My area recently had a sudden drop in atmospheric temperature, and I ended up being out at night for a while. Now I feel a slight discomfort in my throat. Since it is two weeks and sore throat is a symptom of the seroconversion of HIV, I am worried a bit. I don't have a fever or any other symptoms. What would be my risk situation here? Also for the HIV seroconversion symptoms, would it be severe or is it something that you might accidentally ignore?

Assuming your escort was honest, your risk appears to be very low. HIV infection may cause no or minimal or severe symptoms. The simplest approach for you would be to be tested. The latest versions of HIV tests are quite sensitive, and if negative 3-4 weeks after the incident would confirm no infection. Remember that Covid-19 is not considered a sexually transmitted disease, but such an encounter as you describe would represent a risk if your escort was infected. You might want to be tested for COVID-19 too. The same for other STDs.
