Cracking in my neck?

Each time I turn my head to the right I hear a crack coming from the top part of my neck, sort of where the neck and head connect. I have no symptoms or pain just the noise of cracking each time I turn my head to the right. When I turn it to the right I hear a crack, when I turn it back to the left I hear one more crack than thats it. Please help.

Definitely not normal symptoms and I wouldnt ignore it. I would tell my parents and consult your primary care doctor,
A Chiropractor or Orthopedic who performs a comprehensive consult with xrays could help to assess what is going going on with this cracking sound on rotation.

If I were checking you Id ask questions like
Did you have anything like this before?
Was there a fall, sport related injury, car accident , rough housing, chicken fight in the pool etc? you get the ideas Things like this dont just happen.
Do you self crack your neck? Self manipulation can cause hypermobility and instability in the upper cervical spine.

These symptoms you are mentioning can in some cases be easily resolved with chiropractic adjustments in other cases it could be more serious and need orthopedic interventions.

Talk it over with your parents and your Pediatrition and find a Dr to properly assess and analyze your condition.

If you have any further questions dont hesitate to have your parents call my office Rhino Chiropractic Holistic Wellness Center in Rockville Centre NY at 5165366000.

Finally this also could be a sign of something more serious and being that you are 13 years old I recommend you talk to your parents and consult your doctor with these symptoms.
Be well,
Dr John
I am sorry.
This is a mistake
I am an animal chiropractor
Please ask your human chiropractor
I would not be concerned about it. Your young and this is new. If you start having pain, thne seek medical attention.
Cracking means that joints are releasing gas If it's not painful, you could be dehydrated. If u have pain than stop cracking your neck and go see a chiropractor
It could be normal.
