“Do I need stitches?”
I accidentally cut myself with a sharp knife 3 days ago. I thought it would heal but am questioning if I should go get stitches?

After three days we do not tightly close wounds due to the increased risk of infection. There are some things that may be done, but you would have to go to an urgent care or emergency department for proper evaluation. You should especially do this if you are unsure of your last tetanus shot.
Too late. Stitches should be placed no later than 6-24 hours after an injury depending on location. After that risk of infection is much higher.
