Not all radiologists perform ultrasounds. If the radiologist trained at a facility that encourages ultrasound training and the radiologist continued to fine tune their skills they will be more inclined to perform the ultrasound on their patients .

Having said that,I strongly believe that a radiologist knows more pathology on all different age groups and genders. Based on their educational experience a radiologist would be more adept at identifying problems and giving a diagnosis more effectively if performed by the radiologist personally.
Yes, radiologists have the knowledge and expertise to operate ultrasound machines, capture images, and analyze the results. To learn more, connect with me at drjeromepuryear.com. Thank you!
Ultrasonography technicians typically do the scans, though radiologists read them. Sometimes we go in with them to look and scan the difficult cases.
Yes, most do. Cardiac US usually done by cardiologists.
Most of the time technologists perform ultrasounds and radiologists
interpret them.
Currently, Ultrasound is performed by many different health practitioners. If you are being evaluated by a department of radiology, your ultrasound will be performed by a radiologist (most usually with American Board of Radiology certification) and/or a sonographer who is a trained healthcare professional who to school for and specialized in the use of ultrasound imaging devices. The official reading of ultrasound requires a physician which in the case of a radiology department .. is a radiologist. The radiologist also consults with other clinicians who may do their own ultrasound evaluations.
yes we do....every day.....most of us, that is....all the best
