Do they put you to sleep for glaucoma surgery?

I am a 50 year old male. I want to know if they put you to sleep for glaucoma surgery?

In general, intravenous sedation is used for many types of glaucoma
surgery. You may wish to discuss your individual case with your doctor.

local anesthesia. Most glaucoma procedures take less than 15 minutes. Only

sedation and general anesthesia can be chosen for glaucoma surgery. Ask
your Eye MD and anesthesiologist and tell them what you would prefer.
