For regular diabetes, there is no surgery that can cure it. There is a type of diabetes that can be treated with a pancreas transplant, however, this is very involved and has significant long-term implications. Simply said, diabetes cannot be cured with surgery.
No, there is no surgery to treat diabetes. If you require surgery for a different problem, that would be okay as long as the surgeon knows you are diabetic. But unfortunately, we cannot treat diabetes with surgery.
Diabetes as a condition does not directly create any need for surgery. Indirectly, if diabetes is not well controlled, it can lead to organ injury like kidney failure. The latter may require surgery if it progresses to end-stage to place dialysis access to replace lost kidney function.
No, there is no standard surgical procedures needed for the diagnosis of diabetes.
No.
Diabetes Mellitus does not require surgical treatment nor is a surgical treatment available. It is treated medically.

If you have a body mass index higher than 35 you could be a good candidate for weight loss surgery
For DM2, no. Consult Obesity Medicine if BMI greater than 27, and Functional Medicine. Start Organic green Mediterranean diet and Juicing: carrot/beet/ginger 1 glass daily. Berberine 1,200 mg daily as well.
Many patients with diabetes also suffer from obesity. Diabetes can improve significantly in patients with a BMI of >35 who have weight loss surgery, such as a sleeve or a bypass.

Newer studies have shown that "metabolic surgery"- a sleeve gastrectomy or bypass- done strictly for diabetics with a BMI of 30-35 can also help lead to remission of diabetes.
